Excellent “non” service from Shell Energy. Have been trying customer number all day to speak to their broadband section. I keep on getting “due to unforeseen circumstances “ messages advising us to phone later. This is not acceptable trying to deal with a company that doesn’t have a contingency plan set up. Very poor company, ridiculous estimated bills, avoid at all cost

Terrible company

Terrible company, poor customer relations, threatening text messages when I have upped my direct debit with them every month and make one off payments which they don’t seem to apply to my account. It is impossible to speak to a human being, you have to leave your account number and phone number on an automated line with a promise of a call back that never comes. I have done an online enquiry form disputing what I am paying and don’t even get an acknowledgement. I have so far paid them £511 this month alone yet my balance has gone up not down. This company are an absolute joke!! The sooner I can move supplier the better. I am only with them because pure planet went bust and I was automatically moved to shell. They clearly can’t cope with the new volume of customers but are more than happy to take our money! read more

Poor service provider

Hi, my shell service activited on April 11 mid nights. Before buying the shell broadband service the executive promise me I will get 11 mbs down load speed but I am never got above 1.2 mbs speed . After I raised complaint over email I never get any response from shell. Very poor and pathetic service provider.now I am stuck with this provider bcoz I took 18 month contract .so I am wasting my Monday with this service provider.this company very good to deduct money form your account but they not bother about customer. read more

In response to the formal notice served by lawyers representing the Offshore Alliance, a labor union, as well as the Electrical Trades Union (ETU), issued on 30 May, Shell has “now resorted to industrial thuggery in a desperate effort to try and stop protected industrial action on Prelude,” the Offshore Alliance claimed in a post on Facebook today.

“One of the Shell leads, who has been parachuted onto Prelude, is throwing his weight around like he’s some sort of big king dick…this self-styled hero tough guy has been doing his best to intimidate some of the younger female tech’s by demanding they tell him whether they are in the Union and whether they intend to take Protected Industrial Action,” claimed the Offshore Alliance.

“Shell’s senior management need to pull this idiot into line as the Offshore Alliance will bang both him and Shell into the Federal Court for breach of Freedom of Association provisions if he doesn’t pull his head in. Pull off your management thugs, Shell,” added the union. read more

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. The worst broadband company I have ever had to deal with. No one seems to know what they are talking about. Took ages to set up as staff kept getting details wrong, such bad connection I would give up watching a programme and go to bed, cheap tacky router which they actually wanted returning when I moved, router was is storage as I intended on continuing with shell when I found a house (living with my daughter at the moment). Now they want to charge me for the router and charge me for the rest of the year – nearly £200 – as I ‘have a contract with them’. All other companies connected with me selling my house have been great, occasional charge for ending a contract early but all expected. This company just want your money, not interested in the customer. the fact that they want money for providing no service is disgusting. One very helpful member of staff said she would refer me to the complaints department, then quite happily told me I would still owe them to the end of the year! Another unhelpful member of staff said she ‘understood’ why I was annoyed at the cost, but she clearly didn’t ‘understand’ at all – no one “understands” that it is fair to charge a customer for the year with no provision of a service. My ‘complaints’ phone call was a message to call them back! Great customer service! They obviously have so many complaints they only have time for one call. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE read more

Absolutely awful customer service. Broadband has never worked, refuse to let you cancel or refund you. Long waiting times to speak to anyone yet cant ring you when you report an issue!

Yet again disgusted with this company

Yet again disgusted with this company. I have contacted them regarding my energy bills going up and up and each month they want more and more. I live alone don’t use my oven anymore only shower twice a week wash up in the sink use my washing machine once a fortnight, I pay £110 per month and now I amin debit. They do not answer my emails and if I am ever luckily enough to speak to a agent I can’t understand them as they are mainly Indian and having hearing problems it’s very very difficult. I am aware of the situation but my neighbour uses much more energy than me and has 2 at home and visitors nearly every weekend using all his entertainment facilities. He is with British Gas and only paying £80 a month. How do you think I feel when I see what profits they have made in a few months and yet I suffer daily worrying. I might as well be dead and I’m sure when the next rise I energy comes and winter I will be I just can’t continue they are a totally disgusting and terrible company I wish I could move to someone else who cares and helps pensioners suffering I also on a debt management plan since losing my husband suddenly. I didn’t want to give them any stars I would love to give minus but you don’t give us the facility to do this. A money grabbing load of lying hypocrites a blood sucking vile company. They are ruining any sort of I should at the age of 81. read more

Just let me me know they’re ‘generously’ postponing a planned price increase for my broadband. Which means they plan to increase the price from the price I agreed to pay when I signed a contract with them. Apparently this is legal but I fail to see how this differs from fraud, especially as I am not allowed to cancel the contract when they increase their prices. Absolutely disgusted by Shell and will definitely be moving on at the end of my contract. Disgusting, unethical behaviour. Talk Talk didn’t even pull this sort of nonsense. read more

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever! 3 x calls, all over an hour and still no answer from customer services! Disgusting!! no other way for my 82 year old client to contact them – the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I have experience of dealing with DWP and HMRC – these guys are muppets! Do not use!!

Awful Company to contact

I have waited for 50 minutes, twice, waiting for Customer Service (does it actually exist?) before having to hang up. I need to sort out my late Mother’s account after receiving a statement showing a CREDIT, but with a demand to pay. It seems her phone service with the Post Office was taken over by Shell Energy. Life is distressing enough at the moment without navigating a large Company like Shell not having a half decent way to help me sort out my query. Appalling! read more

Once again tried to phone Shell Energy…

Once again tried to phone Shell Energy on numerous times, still won’t answer my phone, emailed me again about my complaint to phone them still waiting, incompetent bunch of stupid morons, chimpanzees could do a better job, never go near shell Broadband customer services stinks.

Useless

I was one of the poor saps who were transferred from Post Office to Shell Energy broadband when PO sold out. All ok until the final transfer on 8 March. All downhill since then. Password not accepted, told to check caps lock and re-enter correct password! Still not accepted, so click on ‘forgot password’, give alternative email address and get validation code. Enter that, then new password. Sometimes works mostly does not. Have phoned, emailed (tried live chat but they do not have access to the account so what’s the point of live chat?). Have complained to Shell but no response yet. Have now complained to the Communications Ombudsman . Shell customer service is either diabolically poor or non existent. Would give zero stars if I could. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO SHELL ENERGY BROADBAND. read more
