Awful for broadband

Based on my experience as a broadband customer, I would give Shell 0 stars if it was an option. Not sure any of the staff know what is going on and if they do, they don’t communicate it to anyone. They are completely incompetent at installing and providing internet. Will avoid in future and would not recommend.

I changed from Octopus and was really hopeful that Shell would give a better service,this should not have been hard, BUT NO they have managed to equal the poor service. I have been awaiting a proper response to my query as to why my SMART meter is not working and all I get is standard replies saying refer to Q&A. They have also told me that the engineer has been fixed it and explained how it all works > that is amazing as no-one has been > a month later they request a reading and suggest I get a SMART meter. Smart is an attribute that would not be qualified by Shell Energy. Since sending this there was response (below) but I still do not know if the emails will be answered by a human or auto response. Will see

Change to another provider!

I used Shell Energy for my gas and electricity – February 2020 to August 2020 -and they charged me approx. £45.00 a month for usage.
When I switched to a new supplier I was sent an additional bill although it had been one of the hottest summers for over 10 years.
I complained to Shell Energy, who were adamant that they had billed me correctly, I contacted the Ombudsman who advised me that without a Smart Meter they were unable to help.

I am now with Bulb Energy and I pay approx. £25.00 a month.
